Who is Jackson Dong?
Updated
Jackson Dong is an Australian full-stack developer, entrepreneur and co-founder of Sylligence, an education platform that reached 3,000+ users in two months. Through AppliedAgents, he also helps businesses integrate AI and automate repetitive work, including projects for businesses with million-dollar valuations.
I'm Jackson. Most of my work sits between education software and the everyday systems a business relies on. I like being involved in the whole job, from working out what someone needs to building the interface and connecting what happens behind it.
Co-founding Sylligence
At Sylligence, I work on tools that help Queensland students study and prepare for assessment. The platform brings practice questions, AI tutoring and feedback into the same place, so students can spend their time working through a topic instead of collecting resources across a dozen tabs.
We reached 3,000+ users in two months. Sylligence's social presence also grew to 9.5k+ followers, with 1M+ social media interactions. Those are separate milestones: the two-month period refers to users.
I'm proud of that growth. It also makes the smaller product decisions matter to a lot of people. A student needs to be able to read their feedback, find the question it refers to and know where to go next. That's the sort of work I write about in Building Sylligence.
Helping businesses put AI to work
Through AppliedAgents, I build websites, custom software and AI systems around the way a business operates. That includes projects for businesses with million-dollar valuations.
An enquiry process is a good example. The website collects a request, an assistant helps gather the details, and the team receives enough context to follow up. There are also opportunities in the less visible jobs, such as keeping records in sync or preparing something a person used to write from scratch every time.
The aim is to save staff time and reduce avoidable costs. The numbers depend on the job. I've written a guide to assessing an automation project, including a worked example that separates time recovered from money saved.
What does Jackson Dong work on?
My work covers full-stack web development, education technology and business AI integration. Sylligence is my education platform work. AppliedAgents is where I help businesses improve their workflows and build the software around them.
I also write about the details that make these projects useful, including how an AI enquiry reaches the person who needs it.
Is Jackson Dong a Sylligence co-founder?
